For Project 33 and 34 we are helping out with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure - breast cancer awareness on October 11, 2008.We are doing two projects for the two different ways we will participate:
Project 33: Run/walk in the 5k (3.1 miles) Race for the Cure. To be a part of this project you need to go to http://www.komenncalabama.org/ then click to register online. Sign up is pretty straight forward, just be sure to click "join a team" and scroll down to find us (Westwood Student Ministry). The cost is $30 dollars for adults and $20 for children and includes a t-shirt.
***Note: we have already set a goal for donations in the group so just leave that stuff blank.
Project 34: Be a Race for the Cure cureleader/ cheerleader on the sidelines of the race. There are 20 spots available. Look for the sign up sheets at Area 51 and the small groups building on Sunday mornings.
